Please dont let your parents or relatives move here the place is old outdated and needs a lot of improvements.. The cost the place weekly is terrible Considering the residents are doing no activities and there's nothing special about the place. The staff are lazy and don't do anything with the residents to keep them entertained. .

Mum had the good fortune of being cared for , for over 5 years at Ashdown House. Sadly mum is nolonger with us , but I and our family WILL ALWAYS be indebted to Sarah(s), CAROL!!! and ALL the staff for the care they gave mum. Over that time we always felt mum was lovingly cared for. Despite the gradual onset of dementia and all the additional challenges that brought caring for mum ( which we saw in person), staff remained patient, caring and amazingly tolerant of mum's often unpredictable behavior. Staff were wonderful. The rooms were always clean, mum was always praised the food! We now realise how fortunate the family, and mum , were in being able to secure a place for mum at Ashdown House. A more homely, friendly and welcoming set of carers you are unlikely to meet. THANKYOU to you all - and PLEASE KEEP UP YOUR AMAZING WORK.XX

Excellent Care Home. New Owners are very welcoming. A clean, homely environment. Staff are polite and the care is consistent and professional. Offering a caring environment and the staff are easy to talk too and the resident is always treated as if they were family. The home allows residents to ring their loved ones and dont rush the calls. Ive been unable to personally visit the home for a few months due to poor health, but my Husband is always met with a friendly voice and any concerns he has are answered. I would recommend Ashdown House to all. I see there is another post with my photo, but I have no idea who has set up that account with my name and left a review. I will be reporting that account as it is not me!! I do believe a nice sign would benefit the home so its easier to find and also if the staff had first name badges so its easier to know who you speak too, as its easy to forget names and it would make it more personal to build up that friendship with each of the carers. Looking forward to the family night to celebrate Christmas. Much love to all, Tracey B xx
