2 for an hour, 8 all day parking. Not a whole lot of parking. Can be very muddy

There *is* a machine in the long stay car park that takes card payments/contactless. Apple Pay wasn't working, but my debit card did work. I can only assume that it's a recent addition based on other reviews. Lovely place for a stroll around the lake. The coffees and sausage rolls are recommended at the visitor centre as well.

Nice car park. Suitable for wheeled vehicles. Not suitable for ships, giant Kong variety gorillas (unless, very young) or trains as there is a headroom issue on entry. Caution the car park is haunted by the ghost of a rather confused neanderthal from 100,000BC who doesn't understand the modern world and therefore does not give change for the parking machine. You will need to either take change or get it from the ghost of the Victorian cobbler near the country park entrance who will also sole and heel your shoes for a penny. Occasionally muddy (the car park, not the cobbler)
