Nestled away in a mini estate of units offering various unrelated services is this nice rehearsal and recording space. Perhaps a well-kept secret for Croydon - the local town - and not near its centre but out in the greenery South of the borough and Greater London - not the easiest to find in an online search. Plenty of parking and an innocuous exterior hides a really cosy interior space; walls covered with rugs and mats for sound and aesthetic properties, good equipment (mostly) and moreover, a really warm welcoming staff. Backline and PA generally ok, but the bass player had an issue with one of the amps cutting out inexplicably (overheating and thermal cut-out?). A good vintage Heyman drum set offered to play drums on, and, again, mostly good cymbal stands and hardware, but doo look out for cymbal felts and cymbal sleeves being present to avoid damage to your expensive bronze breakables. I have had to request these items when playing, and last visit none were forthcoming, so stands went unused and cymbals un-played, so dropping a star for lack of attention to detail. Offered hot beverages by the staff soon after arrival, which is very nice an unheard of in most rehearsal spaces I have ever used (may be a recent phenomenon of rehearsal spaces actually caring about the customer experience?!). Access is easy and the place is very secure. Comfy and Air Con on the wall. Recommended.

Very much off the beaten track and somewhat on its own, this seems like a perfect '60's or 70's Studio with the rugs on the walls, which dampens the noise of a full Band playing together perfectly.

This space is perfect for recording or rehearsing. It has everything you need and more in a really nice and chilled setting.
