The Chapel is a truly beautiful and peaceful place. It is open every day except Monday, 10am -5.00 pm. Despite the rumours the Chapel is a fully functioning place of worship with weekly service every Sunday and 5 annual special services. It holds funerals, memorials baptisms and burial of ashes in the Remembrance Garden. It is also open for visitors as a WW2 memorial Chapel with 6 boards naming and honouring those who gave their lives flying from Sector C in WW2. The newly refurbished museum for January 2023, shares the same site, open same hours and showcases the history of the RAF at Biggin Hill. Allow at least a couple of hours to go through the museum and another hour to visit the Women in the War exhibition and the Chapel. Friendly and knowledgeable staff and a lovely cafe serving lunches, tea and cakes. Well worth a day's visit. Good activities for kids in the school holidays.

I have been meaning to visit here since it was finally built after many years of being promised. The museum gives a background to the RAF station but the Chapel for us was definitely the highlight, a very warm building that is a fitting memorial to those that have given the ultimate sacrifice. There is also a very sweet cafe tearoom with a garden area attached. Well worth a visit to learn about the beginnings of Biggin Hill.
