I contacted The Furniture Painting Company because although I only wanted the top of a teak coffee table renovated I was interested to find out more about furniture painting. I have a lot of good quality teak furniture in my living/dining room and although I still like the style of it I have grown very tired of teak wood after some 35 years and fancied a change. Sue and Joe were with me for over an hour, patiently showing me colour samples and talking through the options and likely costs. There was no hard sell, and when I wasnt sure if I was making the right decision Sue offered to spray one of the doors of my sideboard first so that I could take it home and see how it looked in my dining room. If I hadnt liked it, she would have removed the paint and re-stained it to match the original teak finish. In fact, I loved it so much that I decided to have all my living/dining room furniture re-sprayed! My furniture is now a pale ivory colour and I am absolutely delighted with the results. I have been able to keep my good quality furniture with the lovely graining in the wood but it now looks fresh, modern and as good as new again for half the expense of replacing it with furniture of a similar quality. I cant believe how light, spacious and airy the living/dining room looks and Im only sorry that I didnt know about the technique years ago. The Furniture Painting Company is everything that you would hope a small, local, family-run business would be - extremely friendly and helpful with nothing too much bother. They welcomed me into their workshop in Cudham Lane North so that I could see the spraying technique for myself and also some before and after examples; they had endless patience while I dithered over colours; and they gave me helpful advice on general style and decor in my home. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

We have just used the furniture painting company to repaint an old cot and we have been very happy with the service and finished product. A very cooperative company and a very professional finish.

Do NOT use the company unless you are prepared to have your furniture ruined and lose money. I used this company to repaint my bedroom furniture which included a 2 door wardrobe and 3 door wardrobe with top box. . I asked Roger to trim 2/3 mm of the top of the two door wardrobe, what I got back was a redesigned 3 door wardrobe and top box! The door of the top box worked perfectly when it went away, can back not closing and a gap at the top where it does not sit flush and so they have fitted a magnetic closer to keep it closed. There are nail ends sticking out of the wood where they have reassembled the wardrobe. It was supposed to take two weeks, after a number of telephone calls and excuses, one in which the call was not disconnected and I over heard Roger lying to Sue about the conversation we have just had. I eventually got it back after 3 and half weeks! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED :0(
