One of my favourite places to visit when on the moor. Located in Postbridge, just up from the famous clapper bridge, this is a cosy Hotel/Pub with lots of character. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the menu has vasic oub grub. Frequented by tourists, locals and walkers alike, this is the place to stay over night, have a meal or just drop in for a drink. Having recently changed ownership the bar decor has been altered - not for the better. This has changed the atmosphere for me.

Unassuming externally, this Hotel is found in the heart of Postbridge, a stalwart ancient village full of granite in the midst of Dartmoor. The East Dart has been recently renovated and is now humming with locals and visitors alike, keen to experience the new laid-back vibe and the delicious home cooked local foods.
