A truly awful school experience sadly For us here. We were wowed by the grounds and the sales talk and moved to the proximity of the school. Sadly our experience was horrendous, we mainly had contact and dealings with early years. Teachers were badly trained with zero Idea how to deal with a more boisterous child. One of my kids was asked to take a month long break from school because he threw something and the team felt he needed a break from school. There was bulling from a specific teacher who openly said she didnt like my child. Parent talks with the head of school were frustrating and slow, being told I am being heard is great till the point you realise nothing is changing or being implemented. We left with a sense that no one in this school really knows what they are doing or was ever properly trained to be a teacher or care taker of children. I feel really the worst example of a Waldorf school I could find, run badly financially and recently parents were told not to talk publicly about the issues. They made so many staff redundant despite taking advantage of furlough scheme its a shell to what it was with most of the Steiner benefits having disappeared or reduced to virtually non existent like music,, craft etc. Whilst I am not a fan of Ofsted I feel their grading of inadequate recently is wholly appropriate to what this school is. It needs a complete rethink and restructure and certainly more official oversight. I wish they get the shake up they need as I am such a big Waldorf believer
