This is a nice place to meet up with friends, have a walk along the path towards Totnes and enjoy a coffee or snack. Unfortunately there isn't as much here as there used to be but don't let that put you off. There is 3 hours free parking, public toilets and plenty of different cakes to drool over!

I'm glad that this quaint complex has reverted back to its original name, after re-branding previously as "The Shops at Dartington." There are 3 or 4 tiers of car parking areas, with separate accesses. You put your car registration into the machine & can choose to have 2 hours free parking or pay for longer (e.g 2 for 4 hours.) There used to be old, uneven steps down to the shops, but these were blocked off by a railing today so you walk down ramps. Much safer. I only visited the food shop & deluxe today. They sell many local products, including gin, wine, chutneys, honey, coffee & chocolate. They sell local cheeses, fresh pies, scotch eggs & cakes in the deli plus meats & frozen ready meals / soups. They also have a quality selection of cooking utensils & pans. A make-your-own hamper service is also available. There are also cafes, restaurants, home-ware, clothing & toy shops here.
