We bought a recliner settee from a retailer 2 years ago because my husband has Parkinsons and he wanted to put his feet & legs up for relaxation we had no trouble for the 1st 2 years unfortunately we noticed a tear near the bottom where feet go we got in touch with the retailer who put it forward to ideal upholstery we reported the rip on the 3rd October waited6 weeks for it to be repaired..that was 15th November 6 days later the recliner stopped working we waited over 2 weeks for a engineer to come look and said needed new part we were intouch with the retailer who was doing her best we could see she wasn't getting anywhere so decided to ring them ourselves we were very frustrated..new parts arrived at our house but no call to say engineer would come to repair they closed for Xmas I rang them again on the 4th January to say it wasn't exceptable they replied if you can fit the new part yourself then do it! We got help to replace the new part from our son in law! I'm angry with this company for their lack of communication and the customer service isn't very helpful or understanding..terrible! 2months we went without the recliner working and they didn't seem to care!

We purchased a recliner chair as part of a suite from an independent retailer. About 2 years later the lever mechanism for releasing the footrest snapped off. We phoned the original retailer, as we had by then moved away from the area. They in turn contacted Ideal Upholstery who immediately sent a replacement free of charge. Unfortunately this too later broke. We again contacted the retailer and shortly after we were contacted by Ideal asking if they could collected the chair for examination. They later informed us there was a problem with the mechanism itself. They then offered to upgrade it to a power recliner free of charge. This was a very generous offer on their part. My wife who uses the chair has a medical condition in her back and hands so the recliner was not just for seating. The power recliner has been a great blessing to her and has made things very easy insofar as comfort and ease of use is concerned. The staff at Ideal were extremely helpful, most friendly and the service we received was incredible. They certainly went more than the extra mile for which we thank them. 5 stars doesnt do them justice! Thank you all.
