        Popped in for lunch and was very pleasantly surprised. Chips are super nice crispy and tasty - not sloggy like other chippies. Fish was perfect

        I can tell there has been a change ownership and frier. Went tonight and it was awful. The batter was raw on the inside, the cod under cooked and tasteless. I have used this chippy for many years, however I will give it a miss for a few weeks. The most important thing in a chippy is the batter, get it right you're quids in, get it wrong and you go out of business. You have a lot of work to do on the batter. The previous frier set a high standard which you must match. Good luck!
