I lived in Darlington for 32 years and their bread was amazing. I now live in York but visit my mum once a week and usually call in to buy bread. However lately the bread is obviously 2 or 3 days old and is stale, a big pity we used to look forward to it so much. I know in these difficult times its wrong to throw away bread, but I think they should sell the day old bread for say 0.30p cheaper than the fresh bread, and gave the client a choice. I have therefore stopped going saves me from binning the bread and my family complaining. Have found a super bakery in town center with fresh bread which the family loves.
