If I could give it a 0 star I would. From the minute my grandad went into the willows care home his health started to rapidly decline. Many times we told the staff and the doctors that came to visit the residents about the medication and prescriptions he needed and each time they kept telling us that they are assessing each resident in what they need. Each day we visited my grandad would tell us how hungry he was, so we started making him food at home and bringing it down with us to make sure he was eating. My grandad was in the willows care home for a total of 7 WEEKS before his health declined that badly and he died in there, we really wished we had chosen another care home for him to of gone into but when initially visiting the willows it was one of the better ones we had viewed. Unfortunately this was not the case which we could see each day we were visiting ( we visited my grandad everyday while he was in the willows hoping to help settle him in) each day we visited we could see that there was lack of care given to residents due to there not being nearly enough staff working in the care home. You can clearly see some of the staff are really trying to help but unfortunately there is not enough staff to residents, and while my grandad was there there was at least 10/ 15 empty rooms, so I dread to to think what sort of care is given when the care home is full. When we tried to speak to management about a few of the problems and concerns that we had they were never around or in meetings to take out calls or visits. In the seven weeks my grandad was in the willows care home the lift maybe worked for all of 3 days. Which means that none of the residents upstairs was able to go downstairs to visit the garden. Due to not being about to get down there. Something seriously needs doing about this care home as it shouldnt be looking after our most vulnerable family members. If you love your family members do not send them to this care home.

Terrible..Terrible place!! My dad went in walking with only mobility problems.. (few other health problems) This was his new home for the next x-amount of years to come so we thought! He did not go there for end of life care, within weeks.. He became Bed-bound. within a few more weeks we were arranging his Funneral Several requests to staff to take father to toilet which was refused due to no staff available, (and some lazy staff) which resulted in bed host needed. Personal Care is limited. (After my father been in there a week he was then give a shower although this was requested serval times from day one.. Personal items misplaced. Personal items Broken and then denied anyone had touched item in locked room. Service users are limited to how many pads per day they can have (=Two) unless they provide their own. Care plan Notes are not always correct and are manipulated! Staff stated its unnecessary to do oral care if no dentures are used.. My father was offered a drink of tea that had sat on the table for more than 11hrs.. Yes I was there throughout that time and witnessed it myself. Cleaning is not good. Very rare for it to smell Clean. Staff managers/Nurses unwilling to listen to and correct medications needed. The assigned doctors surgery also unwilling to listen to service user and familys regarding medication. Not enough of the few excellent staff to Advercate for our vulnerable adults without getting severe repercussions. Such a shame that the good caring hard working staff there are tarnished with the same brush as the lazy staff. Wish I had the strength to do a formal complaint. Places like this should be closed down! Owner should be made responsible for such a lack of care given to services users and pay decent wages to the genuine staff.

My grandad was neglected by staff! Only a couple treated him like he was a person told he was a "naughty boy" had falls and staff were not able to tell us how they occurred! When asking for a complaints form we got refused! So glad he is now out of the place it was 5 weeks of hell!

My mom has been a service user in The Willows for the last 5 years and during this time I have to say that the care given by staff is impeccable, The residents are treated like family members and nothing is too much trouble. My mom has complicated needs and all these are addresses without any concerns from me or my family. The care given throughout this covid pandemic has been second to none and although I could not visit my mom in person video calls have been weekly and I have been able to keep in touch without any problems. Management have been on hand at all times and have answered any questions I have needed to ask and have been supportive throughout. I can not thank the willows enough for all their love and support given to my mom and couldn't wish for a better place for her to be living out her final years. Thank you to all staff, keep up the fantastic work!
