Loved it here, very different to other RSPB places I have visited and I was lucky enough to see Marsh Harriers and a Ring Neck Duck. The only thing that bothered me is chicken was on the menu in the cafe. Is the RSPB only interested in protecting the pretty birds? Does cruelty to chickens and hens, and killing and eating them, not count? I am an RSPB member but Im feeling conflicted about my membership if their stance is accepting cruelty to some birds but not others that are nice to look at. You have the opportunity here to make a really powerful statement and refuse to put any kind of bird on the menu.but are you prepared to do that? Edit: In response to the reply, the RSPCA certification is a sham. Their certification means nothing. ALL animals are traumatised by slaughter whatever the conditions they are kept in prior to being killed.
