Took my 2019 Golf GTD in for a DSG service as its on 40k and Mick sorted it out quickly and for a very reasonable price. He had some pretty impressive VWs in. Hes clearly a VW specialist. Would highly recommend.

I took my Meriva to Mick and I was already giving up before sending the car there. The car was giving me code 68 (steering pump) for almost 1 year, and I had taken it to 6 different garages, no one was being able to fix it. Everyone was charging me a fee, giving me a headache to take the car back, as the problem was intermitent, and no body was fixing it. I had taken the car to 2 batery specialists, they had checked the batteries and told me both the battery and the alternator were working fine, and to take my car to the dealer. I took my car to the dealer, they charged me a lot and told me they were not able to find the issue!!!! Just reseted the code and gave me the car back. I finally found Mick. He spent 2/3 weeks diagnosing the car, was the first to actually do it. My plan was to receive the same answer from him and sell the car as a non-running, I had taken the quotes and everything. I took the car to him the week before xmas. In the first weeks of January he calls me back saying he had found the problem. 2 causes: battery - it was not good and had to be replaced, and a loose wire! The service was even cheap. After I got my car back, I waited some weeks to believe the problem was really not happening before. My wife was already joking me, when we were driving she was telling in my ears "code 68" just to see the look at my face! But no, the code didn't come back, the car was really fixed, and it solved so many problems for me... I will be Mick's customer for life now and I can't recommend him enough! I still feel I should pay him an extra, as the service exceeded all my expectations. People should know the difference between a real mechanic who knows his thing and the usual kind of service you find in the market. I am giving 5 starts as this is the limit, I think he deserves more. Services: Electrical repair, Battery, Auto engine diagnostic
