Excellent! I am DELIGHTED with my new windows and door. From single paned, broken sash, cold windows to double glazed sash windows and warmth. What a difference! Where I had a badly fitting UPVC door, I now have a hardwood, double glazed door that matches the windows...and is hung the right way round! Matt and his team were very professional. The installation team (Ash and Pete) had an eye for detail and tidiness that I wasn't quite anticipating. The end of each day, everywhere was so tidy and clean and the windows worked a dream. Owning an old property has many challenges!! Having been told by multiple companies that our 100 year old windows, that suffered so badly with condensation, could not be replaced, I was delighted that Matt and OEWC could help us with upgrades very much in keeping with the character of the property. This is the second time we've used OEWC to restore/replace period windows in our Victorian property. The service we have received from Matt and his team of highly skilled craftsmen has been excellent from initial survey and advice to completion of the work in a timely manner.Our new windows remain a beautiful feature of an old house but are now water tight and warm , we couldn't be more pleased. Matt offers a very personal service and took time to really understand what we were trying to achieve. Would strongly recommend OEWC to anyone with a period property. I'm so glad that I found Old English Window Company. We were desperate to find a solution to restore our 1914 stained glass bay windows in a way that was respectful to the original craftsmanship, but gave us the sound, thermal and security benefits of double glazing. Matt is really an expert on this, and totally understood what we were after from our initial conversation. Professional, responsive, prompt, clean and really experienced, they made a very daunting project an absolute breeze from start to finish. Our fitters (Ash and Phil) were a pleasure to have around and their attention to detail was superb. We're really happy with the end result. It seems strange to make a big investment in something that essentially looks the same, but that was exactly the point! The frames are the exact replica of the originals, but it's SO much quieter and warmer.
