Nice friendly rural pub serving real ale and cider. Very popular with residents who return on a regular basis. Food is served from 6pm. Booking essential. Local non residents are served food but must book. Outside seating available when weather permits. Catches afternoon sun beautifully. Nearby activities: As it is situated in North York Moors it is ideal for walkers.

What a fantastic b&b, The most welcome we have felt anywhere. Right from our first entrance we were greeted with a huge smile and loud hello. When we sat down for a drink and meal in the bar the locals were unbelievably welcoming and talkative with us, we actually felt like a local ourselves. The room was clean and fresh, the beds made up everyday. Our breakfasts and evening meals were outstanding! Fresh and piping hot everytime, only matched by the out standing service and attention to detail. Sonia really is worth her weight in gold! Smile, helpfulness way above and beyond. Sorry we can't remember the male member of the team but he was fantastic too

Lovely hotel, great staff and services. Felt welcome as soon you walk in. Breakfast was amazing so was evening meals. Only down side the bedroom was a bit cold,even with central heating. It's what you have to expect in a old building. Extra blanket and hot water bottles was at hand if need. We will call again as it was also dog friendly and he loved all the attention from the locals.
