Dixon Fabrication

Please be very careful when purchasing anything from Dixons. I was in a bit of a situation where I urgently needed a chassis and the one at Dixons looked exactly what I needed. I paid extra for the job to be moved to nearer the front of the 5 week job queue. I received the chassis later than expected and the welding is very poor in many areas. My welder had never seen anything like it, not have the half dozen others that have seen it. Will need to grind off a lot of the welds and re weld. To be fair, I was offered a full however this would cost me another 200 to return by courier at my expense. Non existent customer service as per another review here.

Got an hd steel rear bumper and a hd delux steel front winch bumper for my disco 2 and I have to say, I am mightily impressed. Will definitely be ordering my fatty sliders and sump,transmission and tank guards from these guys. 5 stars all the way

For 72 Ian Dixon got my Defender up and running, whilst other Land rover specialist where giving me quotes from 850+vat.what I witnessed from Ian's will equip workshop,he fabricates good quality products.Ian could not of been more helpful to my wife and I..,Thanks Ian for sharing your knowledge with me you saved me hundreds of pounds... Purchased a Front Bumper for my Discovery 2. Unfortunately the Bumper has Started to Rust from the edges and under the powder coat, been fitted for just over 7 Months. Contacted owner to be told this can be expected with powder coating and doesn't offer any warranty as bumper is for off road use. Thought I'd share my experience because if you purchase any products that are powder coated from Dixon's Fabrications be prepared for the rust to start appearing.

I needed a replacement crossmember for a project. Ordered a heavy duty version with a couple of minor changes. Was advised of the lead time and price, nothing was a problem. It arrived today and the quality is excellent... should be ideal!
