Our writing group meets here twice a year, and it is a wonderful place for us. The rooms are not luxurious as it is essentially a study centre, but the beds are comfortable, everything is spotlessly clean and the kitchen is immensely well-equipped. There is is a plentiful supply of firewood so that you can sit around the fire in the evening, and many wonderful walks which start from the front door. It is rather remote and isolated, which again is ideal for us. Shops at Kirkbymoorside, 3 miles away.
