Jean's BnB is just wonderful, what a lovely setting, she puts so much care into welcoming her guests. The lovely breakfast prepared with so many options in the cute little granary room, the touches like the hot water bottle on the bed, the in-room tea and coffee supplies, great wifi and an exquisite scent of Hyacints just outside the room. The room was compact but had everything you needed. Great heating system and a very nice shower pressure! The ancient giant tree outside in her beautiful garden with the picturesque chalet and cabin and pond, everything was picture perfect! Thank you Jean! Food & drinks: Loved the breakfast!

We stayed one night at Otter's Green during a short trip in the south of the UK. This is lovely place, nice garden and typical countryside House. There is a nice garden too. All in all a very English, country-side house. There was also a spot to park our car just in front of the garden. The room was cosy with a good bed (which is not a given in the UK), space to hang our clothes, a table with the usual things like the kettle, etc.. All the facilities were working fine (bathroom, shower, internet, heating, etc...). Perhaps a bit on a small side, but nothing problematic either. The breakfast took place in renovated granary - a nice surprise: quaint yet a functional and original place to have breakfast :-) The breakfast had all what we wanted, it was good and we could eat as much as we wanted to. The only downside of our stay was that the lady in the adjacent room spent the first part of the night drinking and laughing extremely loudly in her room - she had invited another person even though she was in a single room. The rooms are fairly sonically isolated from each other, no fault here, but when people are very drunk and laugh hysterically you can still somewhat hear them when you are trying to sleep (like in most houses I think). It seems she had a heartbreak and tried to forget it in the wine. Apart from that the room was very quiet, we could not hear any noise from the street. The next day the host was terribly sorry and explained that she had never seen this until now. Despite this issue we would consider coming back if we travel again in this part of the UK, as everything was lovely and the host very helpful.

Rooms: My room was a twin, which had bedside cabinets, chest of drawers, desk, tv, built-in wardrobe, with hangers, and an onsuite bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. Bath sheets and hand towels are provided. Jean has thought of everything with the drinks. You have a kettle, cafetiere, large tea pot, tall water jug, 2 cups and saucers, 2 mugs, and 2 glasses. There are also coasters provided, and a large selection of teas, coffees, fresh coffee, hot chocolate, milk, and sugar and some biscuits. Definitely not stingy with the amount she leaves for you. Food & drinks: The continental breakfast had so much choice. A vast array of cheeses, ham, cereals, bread, croissants, pain au chocolate, fruit. A huge choice of different coffees, teas, hot chocolate and decaf tea and coffee.
