Great pub / Inn, which we visited on the way up from London (to Scotland). The welcoming owner and attentive staff provided us with some badly needed refreshments (good to see a local Ale being served) and then some tasty dinners from a menu you simply couldn't go wrong with. Excellent fish and chips, Cumberland sausage and beef stroganoff. All served with good veg too ! WiFi for guests/residents - if available - could be made a little more obvious Tip: Enticing specials menu on the blackboard is worth checking out (for our occasion, see the pic). Recommended.

Horrible horrible man! Im guessing the owner. He was so rude towards the people In my party. We booked a week in advance and the booking wasnt there. They sat us on 2 separate tables so I couldnt talk to my family on my birthday. The man refused to move us even though we were the only people in the restaurant. He was incredibly rude and dismissive and even stood on my elderly nanas foot and shook his head when she said ouch. Never met such a rude man in my life. The poor lady working with him was lovely and very helpful and even apologised for his attitude. Food was boring and bland. We needed up paying 25 each ish for meals which ended up being 300. We were very disappointed with the service and the food. Definitely will not be going back and advise anyone else not to go as it seemed he didnt want our business.
