I would not trust or ask them to look after a dead dog. The place should be shut down. Bells are left to ring and ring , medication is not administered correctly , residents are left isolated in bedrooms rooms because of either a lack of staff or just simply because staff cant be bothered with getting residents out of rooms or beds. The mental heath of residents is not a priority , in fact I have been unable to identify any part of the home system that promotes the welfare , dignity or interests of residents or their families. If you try and get things improvised for your loved one, you just end up going around in circles as the manager has no leadership or people skills whatsoever. The manager lied to the QCC when family raised a safeguarding complaint. Everything we asked for , was as if we were causing an inconvenience. When you are paying 1600 a week one would expect to be given the residents Wifi code! If you question the home in any way with regards to there working practices, the most common response you will get its our policy . If you ask to see the said policy you will be waiting a very long time - its just poor managment and leadership. My family are qualified health professionals - they were not being awkward fit the sake of it. They having workers in similar settings early in carers know how things should be done and what is and is not acceptable. If you can place your loved one anywhere else I implore you to do so. My family refused to send me back to this establishment (doesnt deserve to be called care home). When the ambulance crew collected me , they were so disgusted and shocked by the lack of care I had revived that they issued a formal safeguarding complaint. The sooner this place is closed down or inspected the better. The trained staff are lovely , but have a very poor manager and support staff. Communication between carers and residents is made very difficult owing to language and cultural differences. If you are providing intimate care you must be able to ensure that the resident can understand you. If they can then dont be surprised if they appear in-co-operative. I really worry about the residents who do not get regular visits or who are unable to speak. I pray every day for theses poor souls. If you think I have an axe to grind yes I do , but even the social worker had to admit that every concern raised has been fair and reasonable. We have now only been able to speak out as I am no longer there , but we know of at least three other families who have the same worries and concerns who have loved ones still stuck there.

A brief respite. Food was on the whole good if a tad cool. Vegetables were always over done. The staff were friendly and pleasant although always rushing onto the next task. We wouldn't not go back but might explore other places.
