Worth a visit just to meet Alfie who is "Old School" and only accepts real money. There is everything you could want in this emporium. I think everything was priced up around 1950 because I came out loaded and only spent 3.50....He recommended the washing machine liquid at 1 a bottle and it worked just as well as the stuff from supermarkets at 4 a bottle. If I lived in Cullompton I would be there every week.

Alfie's is a great little hi hardware shop, you name it, he's got it, from general hardware to cleaning equipment to supplies for gardening, kitchen use, greetings cards, toys & all sorts of stuff. All at low prices.

You need it, Alfies got it, Even the kitchen sink on occasions. Like his bird seed, it's all cheap, and cheep and cheep. What a marvel this emporium is. You people of Cullompton how lucky you are to have such an Independent Trader in this day and age.

Alfie's should be the original Open All Hours setting. Alfie, who, again, should be Arkwright, will sell you anything apart from groceries although he sells eggs now and then. Fantastic place, should be on the 'places to vist' list.
