    Shocking aftercare customer service, no gloves used and no aftercare provided. No spoolie given and no advice on how to care for my lashes after the 2 hour service. I had my eyelashes done here for the first time and unfortunately suffered a reaction to her products even after a patch test. I am by no means in the slightest sensitive and have been getting my lashes beautifully done elsewhere for many years. I showed her a photograph of the lashes that I wanted - I requested glam as I was attending a big party. The end result was nothing like what I had asked for. You could barely see the lashes. When I approached Kate about my concerns she was rude and refused any kind of compensation. I cannot recommend her at all but at least now I know and will not recommend her or waste my money again. Although I am not, If you are allergic to animals or smoke this also may be a concern for you. * Update in response to the owners reply. Suspicious because I wanted last minute lashes ? Im very confused as to what was suspicious about me? I was hoping that you would have been my new local eyelash tech being as I have just moved to this area. What would I get out of submitting a bad review? I would have been coming to you regularly to get an infill if the service was good. I dont know you. We got on well during the service. I just wanted a professional, hygienic service and good lashes. This all could have been resolved through good communication. I am a huge supporter of local businesses and I have never had to write a bad review. I wanted to discuss this with you for advice and to resolve the problems. You didnt even offer to remove the lashes considering my swelling and sore eyes. As you are aware I am a social worker working for the Local Authority. I am not one to be unfair or to not try to resolve issues. Honestly your response shows everything that people need to know- how you deal with an unhappy customer. This whole back and forth is very wrong and unprofessional. Imagine that customers could be in my position if they are not happy with the service. I did not mention that your hands smelt of cigarettes, you did not wear a mask and coughed throughout the service which, with the pandemic - is not on. The salon smelt of dog and as per coughing, your hygiene was poor which is actually why I believe that I had a reaction. - No aftercare - I told you that I have had my lashes done many many times before. Each time Ive had after care advice. I was a new customer so this should have been done regardless. -No contact? But I sent you a text as you have referred to in your response? I was polite but I informed you of my reaction. You have blocked me so to say no contact? -Evidence- I can submit pictures of my swollen eyes. My family saw my eyes the following day. -48 hour patch test? You offered this? And I declined several times? Generally eyelash techs say 48hrs. You said 24 hrs which is what we did. Now you are not being honest. If you said 48hrs why would you have done my lashes after only 24hrs? I didnt sign a disclaimer? I am really not happy to leave this kind of review but you have been unfair and unprofessional. As a professional woman to say that I was suspicious and that you shouldnt have taken my booking without expanding on this is also very strange and I am wondering what you really mean?

    I have just had an LVL and tint and was very impressed. The decor was really sparkly and it felt very glam. It was very clean and tidy with leaflets available for other treatments. I was made to feel welcome and the owner was very professional and friendly. I will definitely return to Vanity n Varnish x
