2 years ago I gave a 3 star review to this surgery, mainly due to the difficulty of getting a timely appointment. If you could give a no star rating I would due to the impossibility of being able to get an appointment now. In fact it was easier to gain an appointment during covid lockdown. My partner and I thankfully rarely need to see a Dr...however recently I have tried to book a routine appointment for my partner unsuccessfully. I rang three mornings on the trot with lengthy 17-25 minutes being on hold in a que of up to 30 people. When I did speak to a receptionist and explained the issues I was told there are no on the day appointments and and there was no routine appointments for the following week, and on top of that the computer system did not allow for booking more than one week in advance. I was advised to call 111 or go to A&E. When I refused to do either because 111 is no good when a physical appointment is required and A&E was for accident and emergency which the ailment was neither I was to told to call back at 8am the next day. After a few minutes I received a call to advise I could book an emergency appointment at Ewell court Dr's for later that day. My partner attended the appointment that evening and was told he would receive a text from Shadbolt with further necessary appointments. Twelve days later still no text, so I called the surgery...had over a 17 minute wait to speak to someone to be told that they had the report from the Dr but no instruction to make follow up appointments despite it saying bloods had been requested , there are no appointments this week so the next available convenient appointment has been booked for 9 days time and even then it will not be a physical appointment but a phone call which is very frustrating when a physical appointment is required for the necessary blood tests that have been advised. This appointment also contradicts what I was told in a previous conversations regarding booking future appointments. My cat has better, prompt health care!

My mother has advanced Alzheimer's and I have serious concerns for her safeguarding. I tried contacting her GP and the practice manager Lesley Reddy, on numerous occasions, to express my concerns about her care giver, who has burn out. So far I've been ignored or spoken to with derision. If my mother falls down the stairs and seriously injures herself - or worse- dies of fatal injuries, l will hold this surgery and its team responsible. I am disgusted and dismayed in equal measure.
