Woodfarm Barns

This was our sixth visit and no doubt well be back again this year. Fantastic place and they think of absolutely everything, from securing your garden for the dogs to providing firewood and bikes for free use. The attention to detail in the barns is lovely, they all have a slightly different feel, and they are always so spotless when you arrive that you feel someone really cares about your stay. If you havent been, we would highly, highly recommend. Thanks to Carl, Nigel and the team as always.

It was a nice getaway but a few things really spoiled it for us, which was a shame. Pros: Lovely hot tub that we really enjoyed Beautiful house Nice meadow for the dog Cons: Really firm uncomfortable bed, even with topper and extra blankets that we brought from home- we barely slept. Requested a vegan breakfast and hamper which was lovely but sadly came with eggs, cheesy breadsticks and we think the biscuits in the jar might not have been vegan too as my partner was unwell. Real shame and we decided to leave early due to to him feeling so unwell. Completely understand that these may not be problems for others going but put a downer on what was otherwise a really lovely break.

This is the second time we have stayed at Woodfarm Barns. The first time in Gipping and this time The Granary. You can really see the effort and hard work gone into this restored barn its cozy and feels homely. There is a full fresh English breakfast provided which lasted us for 2 mornings all fresh local produce which is a nice touch. There is a large garden ideal for our dog however missing a hot tub which I would have liked. A big issue for me was the really firm mattress which did affect the quality of my sleep as I suffer with a bad back. I did revert to sleeping on the sofa the 2nd night. This would be the only thing stopping me booking this barn again which is a shame.

Sometimes it's how a issue is treated that shows how good a place is, we had a problem with the underfloor heating and the owner got someone in that day and fixed it. Top quality. Lovely place to stay. Good WiFi good everything in fact.
