A pub I use on my infrequent visits to this neck of the woods to meet friends. Sadly, on this occasion there was a very poor choice of real ale (my normal choice here of Timothy Taylor's was unavailable) so I and most of my party drank Guinness - always a safe fallback. The question now is do we go back next time or go elsewhere. I should add that the staff were fine.

This is a proper pub. Great beer, pool table, football, rugby, racing and F1 on the TV. The food is great too, famous for huge , great value Sunday roasts.

A classic pub that serves an exceptional, traditional home cooked style roast. We booked in for a roast beef dinner for our anniversary and enjoyed every mouthful, generous portions and great quality! We also received an anniversary card from Bill and Dawn which was a nice added touch!
