John completed a hand crafted repair of a coffee table leg. This had unfortunately been an accidental incident to a much loved item of furniture which was an intricate cross legged curved piece of Mahogany with craftsmen detailing. John took on the task of restoring the piece to its former glory and we were astounded by the quality of workmanship and the match he achieved to the existing piece by hand carving a new leg. Thank you John for returning the piece to us in a perfectly restored condition, we would absolutely recommend John to anyone requiring a sympathetic repair/ restoration of cherished furniture.

John is a consummate professional and a highly skilled artisan. I asked him to rescue two very battered old pieces of furniture that, although they probably cost very little when new, are very important to me. After an initial discussion, John consulted me whenever his closer examination of the pieces highlighted possible alternatives to the original brief, to ensure the end result was as I wished, not one that he had imposed on me. The furniture has been sensitively restored so now looks brand new and will have many more years of useful life. I paid for Johns expertise and skill and was well rewarded. I would highly recommend his work.

We had manged to stain our Ercol dining tabletop plus it was suffering from being over polished and was looking dull in certain areas whilst being too shiny in others. John removed the existing finish from the top and refinished it to its original matt look. The results are spectacular, and we are over the moon. We cant recommend John highly enough.

Ive just collected my family 150 year old card table which I entrusted to John to give it some deserved tlc. John is a consummate professional who took the time to explain the processes used and the background of the table. I am very pleased with the outcome and the table is now back in its pride of place with a new lease of life.
