Such a lovely meal last October from The Punch Bowl Inn. This little gastropub is half way between Bowness and Kendal and its definitely worth travelling for as we had a brilliant night here. Everything was delicious and fresh and the staff were so welcoming and friendly (especially to our pupper Watson who received two fresh sausages from the kitchen as a little treat)! The star of the night had to be the Hake or the Mango and Passionfruit Souffl or maybe the cheese souffl (yes I had two souffls and I feel no shame) I cant wait to revisit after a long dog walk in The Lake District.

Came with my parents after a recommendation from a friend. It's a lovely 5 hotel. The staff were lovely, really warm and welcoming, especially to our 2 young collies. We had booked a table in the bar, which was really nice. My allergy was dealt with really well and they managed to find some nob seeded bread for me. The food was just amazing, the black pudding with Crispy egg was superb and the duck was to die for . I didn't want either to end! The pork tenderloin was lovely and the sausage and chips looked great. My dad said the dripping chips were just like his.mum had made!! The goats cheese salad, eaten as a main looked wonderful. I was great to have such wonderful local produce and the wine and beers were great too.
