Walkability: Walks straight from the door- beautiful area .
Food & drinks: Hare + Hounds pub is 3 doors away- recommend you book as it was very busy when we went Sat + Wed .Lovely menu- food was really good - staff friendly + good service too. We will be back!

A little piece of heaven
Id heard about this spot from friends who raved about it. They werent wrong. The cottage itself is lovely and beautifully appointed. Theres an acre of land surrounding it, and the river Winster runs through it. My stay has been fabulous. Id forgotten how evocative is the scent of wild garlic which grows profusely at this time of year. So many great places around, within easy reach, including Tarn Hows around which is an undulating path, and for the intrepid explorer a short cut through the woodlands to the little bridge at the end of the lake. Kendal is 7 miles away and has an Aldi store, Morrisons and a few more.
