My mum was living in beanlands for 3 months. Whilst there she developed a sore on her heel. The home admitted they had not seen it soon enough and proceeded to contact the care commission. I appreciate the shortness of staff but whilst we were visiting mum we would call the staff as she wanted the toilet. On nearly every occasion it would take half an hour plus for the staff to turn up. To my knowledge mum was only taken down to the lounge twice in the whole 3 months. I only ever saw 2 residents in the lounge. The others were in their rooms on the floor that mum was on. She constantly complained of a sore bottom I can only think she was sat in the same chair all day. All my dad and I wanted was the best for mum and peace of mind which we never had. We have recently moved mum to another nursing home and the difference is unbelievable. Best decision we ever made.

Lovely clean home, my sister Catharine is being looked after here, the staff are all very nice and are really caring, nothing seems too much bother to them which is a huge relief to all of the family, they treat my sister with great respect and make her as comfortable as possible. The manager Catherine is very nice aswell as the under manager Julie who made us feel most welcome, we had travelled from the northeast to visit my sister and Julie made sure we were upto date on my sisters health matters, nothing was too much bother for her also, we were made to feel very welcome on both of our visits and found everyone very welcoming, i would not hesitate to recomend Beanlands nursing home, we know my sister is in very good hands here.
