Beautiful antiques, but our experience was sadly marred by the deeply unpleasant gentleman behind the counter. We were browsing and I could sense him looking at me, so looked up and smiled. He responded by scowling and looking away. My husband took a liking to a clock and asked how the cogs in it worked, to which the gentleman responded, what do you mean? and proceeded to answer questions in a rude, patronising and hostile manner. We then asked where it was made and he responded that it was obviously ENGLISH, whilst looking us up and down and then walking away. I am not sure what his issue was but it seemed as if we had intruded into his home and were accosting him, rather than being two interested customers. I have a suspicion however that he was not particularly interested in our custom. Beware of this place if you are a POC as I suspect you may have a similarly unpleasant experience. I am not usually inclined to write reviews, however felt that I should warn others and if the gentleman who dealt with us happens to read this, I suggest you work on your customer service- or at least attempt to fake it for a sale.

Went in with my son and was eyeballed by the older chap almost constantly whilst looking round. My son asked to leave as he was made to feel uncomfortable
