Midtown Farm

Nice setting friendly helpful owner. With our caravan we needed to approach from the left with the farm behind us. We arrived in torrential rain so need to come back in better weather to enhanse the experience.

Second time we've stopped at Midtown Farm, Julie and her family are lovely and most helpful and friendly people you could wish to meet. Even though we didn't require them as we were in a small tent most pitches have electric and water. The toilets and showers are always clean. It is a blissful little site with Rumble and Ronnie the young bulls there to great you when you walk up and down the path and a field full of sheep just behind you as it is a working farm. Close to the dales and the lakes so in a fantastic spot, local pub does great food and is very welcoming. A massive thanks to Julie for accommodating us again on shortnotice over the bank Holiday weekend.

My husband and I have stayed here last year and loved it so much we went back. Fantastic friendly family run small campsite on a working farm. They have a toilet block and showers which are well equipped and clean. Lots of fresh drinking water points and electric hook up points. A great campsite for peace and quiet. Half hour drive from Ullswater, local pub 5 mins walk from campsite. Highly recommend it and will be visiting again.

We had a lovely week stopping on this beautiful farm. Owners couldnt do enough for you nothing was too much. Village is beautiful with an excellent pub/eatery. Very quiet and peaceful surrounded by sheep, lambs, cows and witnessed a calf being bornjust amazing! Shower units and toilet facilities always kept clean! Great base for visiting Ullswater and Windermere. Highly recommend!
