Maulds Meaburn Village Institute

A friendly group of folks run the place and on the first Monday of the month it's a friendly place to meet folks and enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of cake

i have lived here for just over five years i have never been as depressed in my life there isent any community the village hall has visitors from out of the area no one goes in from here,its miserable there isent a shop,pub in maulds meaburn or any life its dead,christmas time is the worst time here for me nobody sends me a christmas card,or wishes me happy xmas or happy new year the national trust has even put up a sign saying yorkshire dales if thats to atract tourism then its not working yorkshire begins past garsdale where the viaduct is we could do with a shop,and pub here,and the community hall sorted as i said before the people that go in the place are from different areas,i thought it was for maulds meaburn,i am from blackpool i am going on 69, and to think that i am going to live here for much longer is fading,its an unsociable place,as i have found out

Wow. Super village. Quiet village with sheep wandering all g the roadside. Tumbling stream with a waterfall all of its own. Super.
