Let's Holiday - Mel House Cottages

Peaceful. Clean. Lots of birds to watch. Close to Scarborough and yorkshire moors. Nice and warm ,when cold outside. Well stocked kitchen. Shame Steep steps only entrance as hard work when dog needs out and scared of slipping although steps were salted by owners. One complaint sorted same day. Pool alot smaller than appears on photo. Not as clean as cottage. Didn't use. Would recommend. Maybe even visit again.

Just spent the last 3 nights at Mallard Cottage, we couldn't have asked for anything more, the cottage is well kitted out, clean and spacious, it was perfect for the 5 of us, 1 of us needing a downstairs bedroom & bathroom which the cottage provides. A lovely holiday home with a log burning stove, along with lovely Xmas decorations and a nice touch on arrival a box of shortbread & a bottle of wine, thank-you we will no doubt be back

We only stay here for the leisure facilities but on this occasion we were denied the full use of this. In a world where we have to live with covid-19 and all other leisure providers have everything open why doesn't this place do that. Changing rooms locked, no toilet facilities and the advertised sauna boarded up. If the cottage itself was very clean then we could maybe get a grip on this. However the bath was surrounded by mould and many other areas were just unclean. We will never stay here again.
