Absolute disgrace. My elderly family member is regularly left without visits (that she pays a fortune for). She has been left sat in her chair all night because nobody came to put her to bed. Shes been put to bed at 6pm and nobody comes for her until 11.30 the next day. Breakfast visit leaves and in walks lunch visit. She had had a member of staff leave her door unlocked all night (and it was blown wide open) and its leaving her feeling very vulnerable. Even after complaining to the office you just get fobbed off with some pathetic excuse time after time. Charged for missed visits where they dont bother to send anyone out to see her. Really disappointed, you put your trust in people to be there when you cant and this is the service you get

Very poor care. Continued missed calls on a weekend for my mum. No communication between office and family.

I worked in healthcare all my working life and understand some of the pressures of providing care to others. We have been with Dalecare over a year now. It would be fair to say sometimes things havent gone to plan, late or no shows for example, but overall my wife, who is the user, and I think the service is good. The staff we have met have been kind and compassionate and are due some praise and recognition for the work they do. Whip the management by all means, but the service is actually the care givers and we love them all.
