Gilpin Mill Bed and Breakfast

Having read the reviews myself and my girlfriend decided to book for a two night stay and we were not disappointed, from the welcome from Steve, Jo and Dug the black labrador, a nice cup of tea on arrival with some freshly baked hot scones, to the peaceful setting, the fabulous breakfast, and your beautiful home, what is there not to like about this place, if anyone is thinking of staying anywhere near Windermere in the lake district this is a certain place to stay. Thank you for showing us the picture from old cottage to new B and B, the transformation is amazing.

We (me and my wife) stayed over end of May Bank Holiday weekend in 2018 and were fortunate to find this accomodation. Jo and Steve who are the owner of the Bed and Breakfast were very friendly and warm. We felt very welcome. We have stayed in few B & B before but havent felt so comfortable. In regards to the accomodation itself, I know on the website it says 3.5 Star, I would say it is more towards the 4 Star mark. The place was clean, well maintained and the quality of bedding and amenities provided was of a high quality. The approach to the property was with narrow roads but that is for any country side living. This did not put us off. We stayed for 3 nights and would highly recommend this place.
