Clare Park has been a wonderful solution from a daughter and son in law's perspective, with an active independent minded mother of 90. It's an idyllic location, set in beautiful countryside, with the benefit of lovely restaurant meals if required. Bungalow living was ideal, providing independence with your own front door, with a cushion of friendly caring staff on hand if needed. There's plenty going on and it is an ideal way to retain independence for as long as possible in a safe secure environment with a Jane Austen setting. Morning coffee and an afternoon cup of tea are saved daily in the lovely orangery with views over the grounds. It is very well run with a team of friendly dedicated staff who provide an unobtrusive security blanket for residents which gives peace of mind to the family. With one basic bill to pay a month, it takes the hassle out of admin and the worry out of maintenance which as you get older become more problematic. Residents are lovely and provide friendly and interesting company. We would highly recommend. Caroline and Simon Mallin

My parents spent 4 of the happiest years of their life at Clare Park Private Retirement Residences. From the very first moment we arrived to look round, we absolutely LOVED it! - The staff are all SO friendly and helpful; they always go well above and beyond the 'call of duty'. - From our first visit, we noticed the warm, welcoming atmosphere and, with numerous communal areas, there is plenty of space so you can be with others or alone, as you wish. - My mother was particularly taken with the main Georgian building with its elegance and high ceilings, and both my parents loved to walk around the extensive grounds and sit on the various benches. - The food is excellent with choices for all 3 meals,. In fact my mother often said it almost made going out to eat a bit disappointing as the food was so good 'at home'! - There were in-house cinema evenings; plus trips to concerts, or just into local towns for some shopping, in the Clare Park minibus; music evenings, Scrabble and Rummikub afternoons, as well as bridge and, in the summer, a boules competition! - When I went to visit my parents, I would often stay in the bed & breakfast accommodation which is provided at a very reasonable cost. It was always sparkly clean, fresh and comfortable, and happened to be right next door to my parents' flat! My father sadly passed away last year and, due to unforeseen circumstances, my mother has had to move into a care home, but she regularly talks of Clare Park and how she misses everyone and everything there. I pop back regularly, and hope to take her back to visit once the Covid restrictions allow. It really is a little piece of heaven.
