Food superb The staff were brilliant very knowledgeable polite attentive and most welcoming. Beyond our high expectations. We stayed overnight very nice rooms clean and comfy. Will definitely be back and already recommending to family and friends.

I am a self confessed fussy vegetarian. Finding anywhere with more than one option, and taking a chance that I will be able to eat that one option is always risky. Not at this pub!!!! Great choices, wonderful staff and really cosy on a rainy day. The pie is home made. Honestly home made. The puddings are lush. And 2 courses plus a drink each came to the same amount as the meal of one course and a drink in Wirksworth, so a bargain to boot. We are just deciding when to go back, too good to miss out on. Thank you very much The Boat Inn. My faith is restored in public houses once more.
