Heights of Abraham

We went on a weekend as a family. Apparently ticket price is fixed , there is no discount for student or senior citizen. You can buy annual pass too. Ticket price is expensive but it gives you a cable car ride to the top, guided tours, woodland trails and cafe. There are a lot of things to do over the top. You can easily spend a good few hours exploring and just looking at nature. Cafe is okay but quite expensive. So I would suggest it's better to have lunch in Matlock itself. Overall it's worth visiting plus it's dog friendly.

I got mistaken,as my friend and I was getting off the coach I asked the driver,what are we doing now,,he said,head towards the bridge,the midland pub on the left then go right,,which takes you into matlock Town,, which we did,,,I misheard him earlier saying all those going to Abraham heights(cable car) stay at the front of the coach,,,,,so we missed going up to Abraham heights,my fault but why let everyone get off the coach,only to get back on again,,very disappointed

The wife and I spent a glorious early May afternoon at the Heights taking the amazing cable car to the summit. We had a superb lunch sat outside on the restaurant veranda glorifying in the most beautiful of views anyone could wish for. Great attractions throughout with stories of historic significance abounding. Not only an educational venue but one of great fun in a gorgeous part of England.
