We recently stayed for 5 days at Kirkham House Matlock Bath. The cottage is very well presented the decoration is excellent and very very spacious. There is everything you need in the kitchen plus much more, everything has been thought about and is there for your use. The welcome pack was lovely with wine and chocolate and tea and coffee. The bedrooms were lovely and the bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable. The bathroom also was lovely with a bath and a walk in shower. We dont have Netflix at home so enjoyed watching that on the TV on an evening. The cottage is just off the Main Street and is elevated. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace and people watching on the Main Street. The back garden is a small place but there is the hot tub great for relaxing after a hard day walking and site seeing. Of course there is Gullivers Kingdom for the children and the Heights of Abraham within walking distance. We enjoyed visiting the old bath on the Main Street, it was worth a visit. We enjoyed food at the Fish Bowl and would recommend Kostas for fish and chips just below the cottage. There is a lovely riverside walk ideal for dog walking. We didnt use the garage as we have a large car but the Pavillion and Temple street car parks offer 24 hr parking. We bought a permit on the Derbyshire council site at a reasonable cost. All in all the cottage was worth every one of the 5* we have given it. Our Son does own the property but it is the first time we have been and we were very impressed with the presentation, the size and the location. We would strongly recommend this property.

Fantastic property from start to finish. All the home from home essentials are present and to a high standard. The family really enjoyed the adundant space inside and the hot tub and BBQ are also really well looked after. Neil (the owner) was very attentive to our arrival and departure and also dropped us a message to see how things were going, which was a nice touch. Location...perfect for the main Street and only a stone's throw from Matlock itself. Bedrooms and beds...super comfy. The added sound system which has the ability to play the music in all the rooms is one of my personal favourite features...so much so...I'm going to replicate it at home. Highly recommend this property, you wont be disappointed. We will return all and that's a promise.
