We stayed here last September. I emailed the owner before our stay to make sure a COVID-19 deep clean would be carried out prior to our stay. The owner Sue replied promptly to confirm that a deep clean of the apartment would be completed. On the day of arrival, we spoke by phone to Sue who notified us that we had been put into a different apartment but that it had also had a deep clean We were so disappointed to find personal items in the drawers from previous holiday makers. There were greasy stains on the kettle and the table. I know I shouldnt have done it but I lifted the cushions on the settee only to find crumbs and bits of food from previous occupants! Even a 20p piece was under the cushions! The furniture in the room was dusty and very dated. The bathroom was no better. The tiles had old toothpaste on them and there was only half a roll of cheap toilet paper left for us. I had the foresight to bring bedding from home and a blanket for the dog to use. We used our bedding on top of the bedding already on the bed and we used the dog blanket to sit on when using the settee. (The dog did have her own bed from home to sleep on) I emailed Sue the very same day highlighting my disappointment and concerns but sadly had no reply during the whole of our stay. I would never stay here again and wouldnt recommend anyone else stay here. Luckily we booked our stay through Hoseasons who assured us they would investigate and gave us a substantial refund.
