I was on a pub crawl with some friends and we started at the Crown and Sceptre with a plan to head towards Croydon town centre. There were 4 of us and as luck would have it, in walked 4 lovely young ladies. We brought them a drink and got talking to them.
One was a stunningly beautiful young woman called Maria and 36 years later she's still my beautiful wife.
The pub? Well, it's not changed much, it's still a great pub.
So have a visit, you never know how it might change your life
