Michael Hart & Son

We discovered this butchers last Thursday as we using storage near by. We needed lunch and popped in. My husband immediately noticed the cornish pasties. Not something we would eat outside of Cornwall normally. We were greeted by a lovely friendly lady. We bought 2 pasties and a baguette. My goodness the pasties were so delicious and the baguette was warm and didn't make it home without us nibbling on it! We drive about 50 minutes to get to Cricklade so knowing that we can pop in here makes the trip so much better thank you and see you soon

The products I've had from Michael Hart & Son have always been great. Fresh, good quality and reasonably priced. We don't have meat often, but when we do it is usually from here. However, the establishment is let down by the woman serving their customers. I was greeted with a rude "which side", I assumed of the shop and pointed towards the raw meats and smiled. She then snapped at my 5 year old daughter that ran one finger down the condensation of the glass. Whilst ordering, she came back and lifted her head, again I had to assume as if to say "anything else?". I said "four slices of plain ham please" to which she turned around and said "urgh, I've just washed my hands". By this time I was annoyed with the customer service and responded with "that isn't my problem:". I wasn't told the amount, I just had a card reader presented to me, so I paid and left. Reluctant to return after that in all honesty.
