It was built as an office block in the mid-1980s by Alfred McAlpine Homes, and was used as their head off. Converted to flats around 2016. It was used as one of the locations in the film, Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa (2013), starring Steve Coogan. Overlooking Mitcham Cricket Green, where cricket has been played for over 330 years, it is in the Cricket Green Conservation Area.
