Trying to contact reception and Admin. Appalling as no one seems to want to answer. I know reception is covered Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays. I do understand that the staff are busy.

My mum is a resident there now, mum seems happy and the staff are great! I know sometimes it's a wait to get in, but I understand the staff can be busy. I've had no problems with the staff. Her room is nice, food is good and the activities look good.

Where do I start.....my dad was sent here in August 2020 following a massive stroke, he spent time at Leighton Hospital & Heywood Hospital Stoke. This place was supposedly the best place for his needs. So he was sent from Heywood with a splint for his hand that was specially designed to keep the fingers straight and prevent them curling up. It was never ever put on and apparently its gone missing! He now needs extensive physio to sort it out. After the first lock down they set up an appointment system for two of us to attend and see my dad in the garden, our appointment was 12, however at 12:25pm we still had not seen him, we eventually got in at 12:30. I asked to speak to management, two of them came out, one called Mandy, no people skills at all, I advised them that I work in the emergency services and this cannot happen again, I have a timescale and I need them to have dad ready on time, they have set the time so can they adhere to it. I was given every excuse you could think of, but not one sorry. There attitude stinks, mum would ring and ring to check on dad, never got a response. My dad was recently moved to another home, my mum knew that an ambulance would obviously take all dads belongings with them so she offered to be there whilst social distancing and she would transfer his belongings in her car, they said absolutely not they had it in hand. Dad arrived at 1500hrs at the new location and by 1510hrs station house staff called to ask mum to go and get dads belongings... how frustrating. When she did get his belongings the next day, it was literally just thrown together, there was soiled items in a plastic bag that stunk to high heaven and have had to be thrown and his dentures were located in a plastic cup with mole on them. They are an utters shambles. Not worth the money, management are rude and patronising. Look elsewhere.
