J Pickford Bathrooms

Poor workmanship. We had a bathroom done by him 2017/2018 and have just had to have it ripped out and replaced because it was so poorly fitted. Floor tiles were stuck down with sealant, grout was smeared over tiles, toilet was fitted poorly which caused a leak to come through to the kitchen ceiling. Never mind the fact I answered the door to him one day during the job to him vomiting in my garden. Nice!

He fitted a full bathroom for us a few years ago. We had to get another plumber to repair his damage. He fitted a false wall to hide shower pipes but used the wrong board, it was soaking wet and on the verge of calapse, the wall was replaced and the pipe work redone. The shower cubical had to be refitted. We aren't happy with his tiling and other work. And are planning to get another firm in to replace the lot.

Excellent service, very polite and friendly he has recently redesigned my aunty's bathroom into a walk in wet room. He was so helpful with all the extras that were required for my aunty's disability needs. I would recommend him to everyone

Do not use this man, his work is of a poor standard, he uses cheapest products and charges top prices for them. He has a legitimate looking web site quoting his team of skilled experienced workers..he is a one man band. I recently booked him for a whole bathroom refit,we waited 5 weeks for him he then put us back another 2 1/2 weeks..the job went into a 3rd weekend when he quoted 7/8 days when I had to ask him to leave his work was so bad...he only works 1/2 a day each day and was gone by 12.30 each day...this guy is a conman I have evidence from his quotes and reciepts of over charging on most of the items...I also have photos of all his bad work which Im willing to share..employ this man at your peril..you have been warned. I have had all his bad work ripped out and started again from scratch...the list is quite extensive of what we uncovered..corner's cut.. things hidden thinking they would never be seen..toilet not screwed to the floor but filled the screw holes in with grout....sink not screwed to the wall,he stuck it on with silicone no screws at all...shower brackets half screwed into the wall..holes not drilled far enough to take screw...wall plug not in wall properly so the shower bracket was loose and didn't sit flush to the wall..the floor ..where do I start with this one...6mm ply used and nailed ..yes nailed to previous floor without removing old tile adhesive properly..nothing between board and floating floor tiles ..uneven and squeaking when walked on...his answer to this was to hammer more nails in..shower tray set to high...riser didn't fit properly..always had an answer for things that were not right...did all his cutting and sawing of materials inside bathroom and landing with no regard to the mess being created..seriously I should have got rid of him sooner..one bad egg, do not be fooled like we were by this old man.

I chose Mr Pickford after I had been to my brothers house and admired his new bathroom and asked him where he had bought it from he said it had been fitted and designed by J Pickford Bathrooms. My brother said how friendly and tidy Mr Pickford and his team were, I was so impressed I phoned and arranged for him to pop to c us, I am now so proud of our main bathroom that as soon as he can fit us in he is coming to do our en-suite have given J Pickford Bathrooms a 5 star review and would recommend him to everyone. FRIENDLY, TIDY, RELIABLE and HELPFUL.
