Review re. Car delivery. Excellent customer service, very helpful. Even went the extra mile and tried to pull in an early collection for me. I spoke with a lovely lady named Leanne, very nice and helpful Lady. Would highly recommend.

I attempted to purchase a car from Carlisle Audi (part of Swansway Motor Group), and as Im a wheelchair user with tetraplegia, the vehicle would be required to be significantly adapted (permanent push/pull hand controls & a steering device) for me to drive it. For this reason, I am eligible to purchase the vehicle with VAT relief. I offered to send any evidence required and my eligibility declaration, as required by HMRC. After going backwards and forwards a few times, they point blank refused to honour the VAT relief, as my disability adaptations are not deemed permanent enough. In light of this, I spoke to one of their managers, Mike Noble, of whom had a terrible attitude from the start of the telephone call. He went on to say that removing the drivers seat, and replacing it with something else would be a suitable adaptation for them to honour the VAT relief. Which I feel was frankly, rude and inappropriate. I have bought many cars over the years under my VAT exemption eligibility, and have never felt so insulted as I have done from Audi Carlisle. Even went on to tell me to purchase it through my company instead, and buy it back from myself with the VAT relief. I am no expert in VAT, however, that sounds like a little bit of a grey area in regards to the law. Complete disregard to disabled people, and possibly the law. Dont bother wasting your time and buy from a different Audi dealership instead. An embarrassment to Swansway Motor Group. UPDATE: I received an email from Sharon Taylor, their Customer Relations Specialist following this review. Couldnt even issue an apology on behalf of Swansway for the rude attitude of their manager at Audi Carlisle. Then went on to try to give me misinformation regarding the VAT relief eligibility, telling me - The permanent adaption must be a necessity to ensure that the person is enabled to travel in the vehicle.Conveniently missing out the actual HMRC guidance that says the adaptation needs to enable the wheelchair to travel in the vehicle, or enter and drive it. The audacity to preach about the law when their own employees are encouraging me to potentially break it. Nothing but a disservice to the Audi brand. Im not normally the type to complain, but the way this is been handled is just terrible.
