This place has closed down. Already being fitted out for another business as of 11 November 2022 so probably closed well before that Shame as the cakes looked good. Pity the owners didn't take the listing down.

I chanced across this bakery when passing through Crewe and it is simply excellent! I bought a meat pie, which was fabulous, and a cabbage roll which was really good. While I avoided (reluctantly) the temptation of the cakes etc, they looked fab too. There was also an excellent range of quality bread. And the lady in the shop was really nice. Oh yes, and everything displays a price, which for some reason still seems to be unusual at bakers

Absolutely off the charts good. If you've got time before your train, you absolutely need to take a 30 second walk here. Forget your rubbish, mass produced, chewy sandwich from the platform and support a local business. It's lovely to see the Polish influence and the cabbage roll I had was so, so good. Doughnuts are fluffy and a far cry from the weird, chemical-tasting American style ones. Sweet food always makes me feel a little unwell and these didn't at all - the filling was cherry (authentic, slightly sour, very fruity rather than marzipan flavoured) and it really offset the sugary coating. Portions are enough for two (or more, even) sittings and you get so much more, both quantity and quality, than you would at the Mermaid Lady Coffee House and the one that sort of rhymes with 'toaster'. The staff are very nice, too!
