Creaton Village Shop and Post Office

A joyless, cold and unwelcoming experience recently at this post office counter, and not for the first time either, a flicker of a greeting or welcome would be so helpful but I fear the honour of serving the public has long departed from here and it is now a local shop for local people.

Awful customer service in the post office and not the first time! Was told by the gentleman that my box didnt fit 1st class measurements (Id prepaid for a first class label) he then tried to put my parcel in his measuring box at an angle so it didnt fit, all the while other customers came into the shop and he was shouting over me to greet them, obviously someone from the village, shame I didnt get the same greeting. After him telling me I needed to pay extra for a medium parcel I asked if I could try to fit my parcel in the box and hey presto, I put it in straight and it fit! No apology, nothing, was just grumpily told well it JUST fits! Im sure the shop is great if you personally know the people running it, but if you dont id go the extra few miles to a welford where there is a warm welcome

I think this is a wonderful shop, it's amazing how they fit such a variety of goods in such a small shop. I cannot wait until these covid restrictions are lifted so I can just have a leisurely browse as at the moment only 2 people in shop at one time and I don't want to hold people up.
