A lovely peaceful place with the most spectacular views - 1. to the North accross the hambleton hills and the white horse of kilburn (follow the path at the eastern side of the church). 2. To the south (looking back towards the arched entrance to the churchyard) you can see right across the vale of York with Drax power station on the far horizon. 3. Leave the churchyard from the western side (down some steps) and walk along the road for 200 yds to find a stunning view westwards. Beautiful old village. Lots of great walks near and around the village. Recommend looking at the Durham ox for accomodation or the George in Easingwold.
